Covid-19 update
We are currently raising money to help the people who are starving due to lock-down in Uganda. Many families are starving because they are unable to buy any food due to the market being closed, high priced food and restrictions of travel. At the beginning of lock-down they had very heavy rains which caused flood and destroyed both crops and homes. They also had a re-infestation of Locus from the eggs that have hatched from the swarm in May. Fortunately the winds carried the locusts away but not before they had eaten crops. We are raising money to provide food for the most desperate families who are waiting for their crops to be harvested. We provided money after the flooding to buy seeds for planting. These have grown well and it looks like there will be a good crop from these but the families are starving waiting for the harvest. So we are providing food until they are able to harvest. The harvest should be at the end of the month. If you would like to donate towards this then follow the link below. https://www.give.net/amanauk |
